Questex Travel Group announced today that it’s changing the name of the longtime flagship event Incentive Travel Exchange (ITE) to Global Meeting & Incentive Travel Exchange (GMITE) to better convey the full breadth of suppliers who attend.https://www.centarahotelsresorts.com/cosihotels/?utm_source=e-global&utm_medium=banner&utm_campaign=cosi-firstlaunch&fbtrack=CUST-cosi-firstlaunch-e-global-banner The event will take place April 10-13, 2019 at The Grand Summit Hotel, A Rock Resort at Park City Mountain in Park City, UT, a new location for the brand, which was previously held in Las Vegas for the past 14 years.

The event, organized by Questex, publisher of International Meetings Review, brings fully hosted, high-volume North American incentive buyers and meeting planners who have a combined purchasing power of $1.5 billion, together with global suppliers for two and a half days of exclusive networking opportunities and prescheduled one-to-one meetings in private, luxury suites.

The Questex MICE events are the only ones to offer suppliers a minimum of 20 private, one-to-one appointments over two days with buyers they select in advance of the event based on detailed profiles which enable them to meet with those most relevant to their business needs.

In preparation for the change, organizers launched a thorough evaluation of the audience, conducting qualitative and quantitative research to determine that a name expansion and logo refresh would help solidify the breadth of opportunity available to MICE buyers going forward, according to Jill Birkett, event director for the Questex Travel Group.

“We knew we wanted a change of location for the 2019 flagship event, but we didn’t think that was enough to really shake things up with the audience,” said Birkett. “We decided we needed to boldly say that we are the go-to event for the MICE industry in terms of education, networking with global suppliers, and professional growth. We believe that expanding on our name really conveys that to our buyers.”

Global suppliers at GMITE 2019 will include cruise lines, hotels, resorts, spas, tour operators, destination management companies, and some of the most sought-after destinations across the globe.

Buyers will represent corporate direct meeting planners, incentive buyers, and third-party meeting and incentive professionals.
