Birthday celebrations have begun with the arrival of the quokka joeys on Western Australia’s Rottnest Island.

  • The happiest animal on Earth celebrates the Quokka Birthday all September
  • The adorable joeys have begun peeping out of their mums’ pouches
  • Party at Home Pack launched so everyone can celebrate no matter where they are

In honour of the joeys leaving their mums’ pouches, this year’s Quokka Birthday event will run over the whole month of September with free activities, treasure hunts, special offers and activities for those visiting the Island, and a Party at Home Pack for those celebrating from afar.

The Party at Home Pack features a specially curated Spotify playlist, party decorations, activities and games.

The Quokka, Rottnest Island’s photogenic ambassador skyrocketed to international fame after high-profile celebrities including Roger Federer, Margot Robbie and Chris Hemsworth posted selfies with the adorable marsupials on social media.

Native to Western Australia’s Rottnest Island, an A-Class Nature Reserve with pristine beaches, an abundance of wildlife and sunshine, it is no wonder the quokka is world renowned as the happiest animal on earth.
