Registration and tickets for the 26th annual Julia Creek Dirt n Dust Festival are now open, with the committee promising the most exciting line-up of events so far.

The Outback Queensland event sees the population of Julia Creek swell by more than 500 per cent as visitors race in Australia’s toughest sprint triathlon, try their hand at the new Dirt n Dust Adventure Run, have a punt at the Artesian Express Horse Races, sit back at the PBR-sanctioned Bullride, go wild in one of the Festival’s many novelty events or kick up dust with a weekend full of Australia’s best musicians.

Julia Creek Dirt n Dust Festival Committee President Stephen Malone said the Festival had come a long way since its inception.

“With over a quarter of a century behind us now, the Dirt n Dust has become one of Outback Queensland’s most iconic events, showcasing all there is to love about life out West,” Mr Malone says.

“In 2020 we will be keeping this celebration going with all of the events people have come to know and love at Dirt n Dust.”

Registrations for the Senior Triathlon and Adventure Run are now open for festival-goers who want to start planning their Dirt n Dust weekend.

“Race on over to our website and secure your spot in Australia’s Toughest Tri, or if that’s not quite your speed, sign up for one of our three distances in our Adventure Trail Run,” says Mr Malone.

“Whether you’re a triathlete, a family looking for an adventure, or someone who just loves to dance to highquality country tunes, the Julia Creek Dirt n Dust Festival will have it all in 2020.”

The 2020 Julia Creek Dirt n Dust Festival will be held from 17-19 April 2020. For more information, and to register, go to www.dirtndust.com
