INITIATIVE

Trip.com will introduce “Pay It Forward” – an initiative aimed at supporting beneficiary groups and
local tourism businesses. From 1 December, Singaporeans may donate the products bought using
their SingapoRediscovers Vouchers (SRV products) to selected beneficiary groups through
Trip.com’s platform, allowing the beneficiaries to visit specific attractions and enjoy a meaningful day out.

Ms Ru Yi, Area General Manager, Trip.com, said: “As an authorised booking partner, Trip.com will
collaborate closely with our partners and execute marketing campaigns to attract and encourage
Singaporeans to redeem their SRVs as the vouchers will have a multiplier effect on spending.
“At the same time, we acknowledge that some may want to donate their SRV products to a
meaningful cause. In line with our committment to supporting the community, Trip.com will embark on this initiative through which Singaporeans may donate their SRV products – such as attractions or tours tickets – to specific local beneficiary groups which will allow the beneficiaries to visit and enjoy a meaningful experience at the attraction.”

Throughout the SRV campaign, Trip.com will partner different organisations and attractions. The first programme will run from 1 December 2020 to 15 January 2021, and seeks donations of 100 tickets for beneficiaries from Boys’ Town to visit Singapore Zoo.

Ms Ru said: “Boys’ Town has been supporting children and youths in need for many decades and it
is a privilege for us to partner with them for the launch of Pay It Forward. We hope Singaporeans will support this initiative and also consider ways through which each of us can play a part in supporting Boys’ Town and its various programmes. Let us come together and make a difference in the lives of these children and youths.”

Dr Roland Yeow, Executive Director, Boys’ Town, said: “We would like to take this opportunity to
express our gratitude to Trip.com for choosing us as a beneficiary group. We hope Singaporeans
will donate their SRV products generously and know that it will go a long way in bringing joy to the
less privileged youths of Boys’ Town.”

Through this initiative, Trip.com hopes to raise awareness about the specific beneficiary groups, rally and inspire its users and other stakeholders to come together and support them, as well as maximise the level of support provided to the local attractions and businesses.
