The Islander Estate Vineyards
Started by Jacques Lurton, a fifth-generation Lurton Family winemaker who learnt his craft in Bordeaux at his family’s Chateau La Louviere, The Islander Estate Vineyards are some of the finest on Kangaroo Island.
Boating an exceptional selection of reds, whites and bubbles, and several tasting experience options, The Islander Estate is a must visit for wine lovers. Take a guided tasting on the outdoor deck or lawn with tastings of six – eight wines and a picnic style regional platter. Bay of Shoals
Bay of Shoals owner, John Willoughby is a passionate winemaker and sailor. His love of sailing is a family trait passed down from his father who sailed on the Nerida with winemaker Tom Hardy in the 1930s.
Although a relatively new vineyard, with the first vines planted back in 1993, Bay of Shoals has proven to create dynamic wines from the first Cabernet Sauvignon harvest in 1998. Bay of Shoals produces Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Shiraz, Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, and Savagnin grape varieties. And their Riesling vines are thought to be the closest to the sea of anywhere in the world, sitting just 30m from the waters-edge.

Dudley Wines
Dudley Wines begun as an experiment by Jeff Howard and two good friends back in 1997. Since then, Jeff Howard and his wife and their three children have become the sole owners of Dudley Wines which sits on a 4000-acre property known as the Porky Flat to the locals.
Dudley Wines offer three tasting experiences. The first, JOYRIDE, a complimentary tasting of up to four wines. The second, COASTAL CRUISE, is a paddle of five tastings to enjoy in whites, reds or mixed. And the third, ULTIMATE ISLAND CHARTER, will guide you through a tasting of the Dudley Wines range.
There is a menu including a Cheeseboard and Winemakers board available to compliment the tastings. And for those wanting to take more than just wine away can explore Dudley Wines range of wool and natural fiber products.

Kangaroo Island Spirits
In 2002, Jon and Sarah Lark decided to start Australia’s first dedicated gin distillery. After experiencing the emerging food and wine industry on Kangaroo Island, they decided to bring a little of their own spirit to the island. And so, Kangaroo Island Spirits (KIS) begun.
Visitors can experience four outstanding experiences at KIS, including blending your own gin, a tasting platter of four gins, tonics, bitter and garnishes, a private blend your own KIS gin experience, and a guided tasting, garden tour and a Negroni or cocktail flight with a nibble platter.
