With over two decades of extensive industry experience working with some of the globe’s most prestigious leading hotel and hospitality brands, Craig Hooley is Minor Hotels’ Chief Operating Officer for Australia and New Zealand, which has a portfolio of over 60 properties under its Oaks Hotels, Resorts & Suites and Avani Hotels & Resorts brands. Craig guides the brand’s strategic direction, delivering day-to-day management of operations with overseeing sales, marketing, all revenue focused strategies and activities, as well as crafting bespoke forward growth plans for the hotelier, and providing leadership across various corporate factions to convey continued business excellence.  He has previously served in senior roles with Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts, InterContinental Hotels Group and Mirvac.

Graham is a seasoned senior executive working across the travel, tourism, media and hospitality sectors, with after graduating with a Bachelors Degree in Hotel, Catering and Tourism Management from Surrey University.

He spent his formative years with Utell International where he rose to the position of Managing Director, EMEA, with his passion for hospitality continuing with Disneyland Paris as Director of Sales Distribution. Moving to Australia in 1995, Graham spent 5 years as Chief Executive Officer, Traveland and he was appointed CEO, See Australia in 1999 with responsibility for growing domestic tourism.

Since then Graham has also worked as Managing Director Classifieds at Fairfax Digital and CEO Inland NSW Tourism and in May 2018, he was appointed Managing Director, BWH Group, Australasia, a new entity formed following the acquisition of World Hotels in March 2019 with responsibility for World Hotels, Best Western and Sure Stay.

Paul was recently appointed as CEO of YHA Australia , with tack record as an exceptional leader with a 25-year track record

AJ Shantiratnam, Principal Client Partner for APAC at Tripadvisor

AJ Shantiratnam is Principal Client Partner for Tripadvisor, based in Australia. AJ manages advertising business relationships

With a blend of experience working for large Global OTA and hotel chains, AJ has over 10 years’ experience in the travel and hospitality industry which he capitalises with his passion for data and business analysis.

AJ has previously worked for Agoda.com, Frasers Hospitality and the luxurious Jetwing Hotels leading account management,

e-commerce performance and Sales. AJ loves exploring culinary experiences in different countries which he lavishly shares on his social media handles.

 

 


Belinda Morris – Head of Hotel Distribution, Business Travel – APAC – Amadeus IT Pacific

With over 10 years’ experience in both supply and demand of the hotel industry and expertise in payment and technology, Belinda has a proven track-record of generating new business through strategic negotiation while establishing and growing new and existing relationships with key decision makers.

Belinda is currently Head of Hotel Distribution, Business Travel – APAC for Amadeus IT Pacific, where she is responsible for the commercial strategy for the Amadeus portfolio of products and services for hotels. She works closely with APAC Business Travel customers (TMC’s) to provide ongoing support and education on the hotel industry whilst constantly reviewing and improving processes when developing hotel programs.

Belinda joined Amadeus from The Lido Group, a leader in Corporate and Government hotel programs where she held the role of Director of Sales, prior to joining Lido, she held various roles in both global and local sales for Pan Pacific Hotels Group and Intercontinental Hotels Group.

Markland Blaiklock, Deputy Chief Executive Officer – Centara Hotels and Resorts

Mr. Markland Blaiklock is the Deputy CEO of Centara Hotels & Resorts (Central Plaza Hotel Public Company Limited). He is responsible for steering the continued expansion of Centara.

Blaiklock is a Canadian national educated in the United Kingdom and France. He has over 35 years of experience in hotel finance, operations, management, and strategic planning. His career began with Hilton International in France and progressed with Le Meridien hotels in Montreal, New York, Houston, San Francisco and Vancouver. In 1990 he came to Asia where he managed several Shangri-La’s properties and served in senior executive positions for Raffles in Singapore and Accor for their Asia Pacific region.

Besides driving Centara’s ambitious growth strategies in Southeast Asia, China, the Indian Ocean and Middle East, Blaiklock’s operational experience will be put to work leading the improvement of Centara’s technical platforms and systems, ensuring the company’s core infrastructure supports its vision for global expansion.

Blaiklock’s extensive experience in all phases of hospitality management, his understanding of Asia and other international markets, and his familiarity with Centara, suit him ideally for this important next phase of the company’s growth
