Riviera Travel to Extend €500 Onboard Credit Offer for 2022 Sailings Booked by March 31, 2021

Luxury European river cruise line, Riviera Travel River Cruises, will extend its exclusive onboard credit offer of up to €500 for 2022 sailings if booked in Australia by March 31, 2021. This can be spent on any onboard purchases like bistro drinks, spa massages, salon haircuts, boutique shopping or gratuities (credit cannot be used for gratuities on Douro cruise).

Providing great savings, this is the perfect opportunity for travel agents to introduce Riviera to clients. Complemented by true value-for-money fares that are significantly lower compared to similar itineraries from other cruise lines and a 99 per cent customer satisfaction/repeat booking rate, Riviera Travel is the top European river cruise line in the UK – overtaking its competitors, grabbing the attention of your clients and introducing them to a five-star luxury product at a price point that simply cannot be challenged in the industry.

One of Riviera’s most popular sailings is its Heart of Europe 14-night itinerary from Budapest to Cologne departing July 13, 2022. A perfect introduction to river cruising, guests will discover a tapestry of quaint villages, medieval towns, fairytale castles, and breathtaking rugged scenery much further inland. Travelling along the Danube is the most exciting way to explore ‘three capital cities in one’- Budapest, Vienna and Bratislava, as well as Austria’s most inspiring city, Salzburg, the birthplace of Mozart. Renowned for its warm British hospitality, guests unwind at their own relaxed pace as they traverse the iconic Main Danube canal and sail through nearly 100 locks, each providing its own extraordinary experience. Prices start from $8,169 pp, twin-share for a lower deck suite.

Riviera Travel also recently announced its‘Holiday Happiness Guaranteed’ program – a flexible customer care policy which offers Australian guests reserving future cruises complete confidence and peace of mind when booking. The new program offers free changes to new bookings, fast Covid cancellation and curtailment protection, a best price promise and a ‘happiness’ guarantee.

Guests unable to travel specifically due to Covid-19 can change their booking to a later date free of charge. Riviera’s best price promise means the cruise line will match any lower price if the cost reduces, providing a refund for the difference. Riviera is so confident that your client will have a delightful on-board experience that any guests unhappy by Day Two of the cruise will have the option to depart the ship, receive a full refund, and get assistance to change their flight ticket home. Riviera will also cover the cost of any change fees or fare increases if applicable.

Riviera Travel is also recognised for looking after solo travellers who often get overlooked – with dedicated solo cabins and solo-only departures with no single supplement. Riviera Travel’s fleet of 10 luxury ships is also one of the youngest in Europe, with almost all ships less than three years old.

Riviera Travel is 100 per cent committed to supporting Australian travel agents with no strategy to build direct bookings. The policy in place will see no discounts offered to consumers to book directly and will honour any request by a travel partner to have a direct booking transferred over. To help travel agents add a five-star river cruise product to their suite of offerings, Travel the World – Riviera Travel’s exclusive GSA in Australia – will offer extensive training and marketing support through its national sales team.

Featuring diverse onboard facilities, including a restaurant, bistro and wellness centre, Riviera Travel’s fleet of five-star ships support an intimate atmosphere of between 126 and 176 guests. The company recently fast-tracked release of select 2022 departures, with 114 sailings on 11 itineraries already on offer, and fares starting from $1,799 pp, twin-share, for a five-day cruise.

With an included excursion in every port, luxuriously appointed suites and cabins that are amongst the largest on any river cruise ship, sumptuous dining, and complimentary services of a dedicated Riviera Travel Cruise Manager and Cruise Concierge; a five-day European river cruise not only costs less than a luxury hotel stay, but brings arguably better value with a raft of complimentary inclusions.

In 2022, Riviera Travel’s 10 luxury ships will offer a total of 20 itineraries across Europe including journeys along the Rhine, Moselle, Danube, Seine, Rhone and Douro rivers.
