The leading cruising and touring operator, APT, recently launched their 2019/20 Antarctica & South America brochure. Combining Antarctic expeditions with South American land journeys, a vast array of touring options are available, with a range of Superdeals on selected tours.

APT’s spectacular 15-day Classic Antarctica showcases the white continent in all its grandeur. Starting from $16,995 per person twin share, it includes a Superdeal saving of $500 air credit per couple. Travelling with no more than 200 passengers on board the luxury expedition small ship, Le Boréal, clients will be able to choose from a variety of luxury stateroom and suites, all featuring private balconies and 24-hour room service. On board, a choice of casual and fine dining restaurants is available, as are all-day complimentary drinks.

Over ten nights, largely in remote waters inaccessible to other vessels, an APT Tour Director oversees the cruise, as incredible Antarctic panoramas remain constantly on show. Accompanied by an expert Expedition Team on all Zodiac excursions, clients will enjoy being one of just 10 passengers, as they skirt past glaciers, before landing ashore and getting up close to penguins and seals. The active volcano and former whaling station home, Deception Island, reveals some of the mysteries of the region, while, weather permitting, an active science research station can be visited at Port Lockroy.

The 28-Day Best of South America with Galápagos & Amazon Cruise starts at $28,995 and features three-night stays in both Buenos Aires and Rio de Janeiro. From Lima, clients will enjoy the opportunity to travel to Machu Picchu and Sacred Valley, exploring ancient Inca ruins. The new luxury catamaran M/C Endemic then cruises the waters of the spectacular Galápagos Islands. Over four days and nights, clients will be able to get up close to the diverse wildlife making their home there. Following single-night stays in Guayaquil and Lima, the river ship Delfin III then reveals the astounding flora and fauna, abundant rainforest and incredible trail walks of the Amazon. This itinerary is one of a range of South American land journeys, beginning at just $7,145.

When two people travel together to South America on a tour of 28 days or more, and book flights from Australia, one person will receive a free return economy class international ticket including taxes. Available until sold out, further offers include air credit of up to $800 per couple on select itineraries and departures. Superdeals are strictly limited and will sell out quickly.

Antarctica and South America are also part of APT’s new Tailor Made Journeys, a new custom travel planning service, providing the opportunity to create private luxury holidays filled with personal touches and experiences, incorporating APT’s, accommodation and exclusive experiences.

In addition, all Antarctica and South America tours earn Qantas Frequent Flyer Points. Qantas Frequent Flyer members will earn 1 Qantas Point per AU$1 spent.
