Australians can see the best of Latin America for less on three cruises in 2019, with this special offer from Contours Travel.

Available for a limited time on Contours Travel’s ‘Central America Cruise Explorer’, ‘Central America Cruise Adventure’ and ‘Chilean Fjord Cruise Adventure’, guests will receive US$1000 travel credit per person to spend on flights or pre/post-cruise land arrangements, which Contours can help book, as well as a complimentary cabin upgrade. To receive the bonus credit, bookings must be made by January 31, 2019.

All three cruises are aboard boutique cruise ship, the 146-passenger, RCGS Resolute, which offers 360-degree viewing platforms, a pool, gymnasium, two dining areas and a host of other features to enhance the journey.

The first destination-rich itinerary, the Central America Cruise Explorer, is a 10-day cruise beginning in Panama and ending in Mexico. Along the journey, guests will also visit Colombia, Nicaragua, Honduras and Belize. Highlights of the 10-day cruise include snorkelling the coral reefs of Colombia’s Rosario Islands, hiking to the top of Alto El Pico on Providencia Island, Colombia, for 360-degree views of the Caribbean, visiting the Miskito people of the Miskito Cays in Nicaragua, who still maintain their ancient culture and looking for West Indian Manatee, sea turtles, howler and white-headed capuchin monkeys at Jeanette Kawas National Park, Honduras. The cruise begins on May 2, 2019, and prices start from A$7458 per person, twin-share.

The second cruise, the Central America Cruise Adventure, is a 10-day cruise beginning in Costa Rica and ending in Panama. Highlights of the cruise include visiting Curu National Wildlife Refuge, a prime viewing area for the near extinct spider monkey, looking for pods of spinner, bottlenose and spotted dolphins and even the solitary whale shark at Golfo Dulce, visiting the cobblestoned centre of Panama City, steeped in Spanish history, and cruising through the Panama Canal, one of the seven modern wonders of the world. The cruise begins on April 23, 2019, and prices start from A$7458 per person, twin-share.

Lastly, the Chilean Fjord Cruise Adventure, is a 14-day cruise that explores the dramatic fjords, glaciers and peaks of southern Chile. The cruise begins in Ushuaia, Chile, and travels north ending in Valparaiso. Highlights of the journey include listening to the cracks and groans of the Marinelli Glacier, as you admire the crevasse-covered ice field, and visiting the Torres Del Paine National Park with its granite towers that dominate the landscape. The 14-day cruise begins on March 31, 2019, and prices start from A$9852 per person, twin-share.

Specialising in Latin America only and led by Ted Dziadkiewicz, a well-travelled expert on the region, Contours Travel offers hosted group tours and tailor-made itineraries for independent travellers throughout Latin America.

To receive the US$1000 per person travel credit, the cruises must be booked by January 31, 2019.
