Saving the Planet One Bollard at a Time

Reflections Holiday Parks (RHP) Wyangala Waters have made major headway in sustainable investment, with their latest upgrades to the park consisting of new bollards crafted from recyclable materials.

The 36 Bollards have been constructed as part of the park’s recently refurbished Kookaburra Powered camping sites, and were supplied by Replas, who specialise in Recycled Plastic Products. The refurbishment also includes a new retaining wall, the levelling of sites and new turf and powerheads.

Wyangala Waters Park Manager James Armstrong said he was delighted to see the Camping Area completed in time for the School Holidays, particularly as it makes the popular Country NSW holiday destination a leader in environmentally friendly investments.

“Supporting industries that are sustainable not only helps the environment but reinforces Reflections Holiday Parks’ commitment to the natural reserves we operate in,” James said.

“I look forward to welcoming both returning and new guests to the park in coming months to educate them about this investment which fingers crossed will lead to them utilising recycled and sustainable construction products in their own homes.”

Reflections Holiday Parks CEO Steve Edmonds called the refurbishment a major milestone for the holiday parks group, signalling it as the continuation of environmentally conscious capital works projects across all 37 parks.

“These bollards are not only environmentally friendly and far safer for all nearby waterways but will stand the test of time far better than their less sustainable cousins,” Mr Edmonds said.

“Unlike timber, our new Australian Made recycled plastic bollards will not split, rot, crack or require frequent painting. This means that rather than the need to replace them as they weather over time they’ll be in it for the long haul.

“These site upgrades are a massive accomplishment for James and our Wyangala Waters team, ultimately allowing us to continually provide improved services to park guests and build on our commitment to be leaders in the sustainable tourism market across NSW as a whole.”
