Millions of years ago, dinosaurs ruled the earth. Now they’re back! Dinosaur Valley is coming to Scenic World this summer, bringing the ancient rainforest to life with prehistoric dinosaurs from November 1 – January 28. 
Marking the first event of its kind in the Blue Mountains, Dinosaur Valley will take visitors on a journey through time to explore the fascinating world of dinosaurs in new and exciting ways among towering Jurassic rainforest.
Joined by friendly Dinosaur Rangers, visitors of all ages will enjoy meeting life-sized dinosaurs up close during daily ‘Meet and Roar’ events, while the kids will get a thrill out of patting their favourite dino friends.
Catering to couples, families and everyone in between, everyone will have a roaring good time with a range of free events, free kids’ trail guides, and Junior Ranger Packs available to continue the fun at home.
An extensive range of accommodation packages are also available with local hotels and resorts, allowing visitors to make the most of a weekend getaway in the Blue Mountains.
Scenic World’s Events Manager Alana Silk said Dinosaur Valley was a natural fit for Scenic World’s ancient rainforest setting, adding that the three-month event presented a unique opportunity for visitors to experience nature in unexpected ways.
“Dinosaurs have continued to capture our imaginations for centuries and we hope to tap into that curiosity in creative ways that leave a lasting impact on our guests,” she said.
“It also invites visitors to disconnect from the devices and explore the natural beauty of the Blue Mountains while learning more about our region’s history and incredible flora and fauna.”
Scenic World’s Managing Director Anthea Hammon added that the event would deliver a welcome boost to the local economy by encouraging visitors to extend their stay in the Blue Mountains.
“We are constantly looking for ways to evolve as a business, and major events present a unique opportunity for visitors to plan a trip to the Blue Mountains,” she said.
“We know that events such as Sculpture at Scenic World deliver a positive boost to our economy by welcoming more people through local shopfronts and restaurants, and we look forward to seeing that trend continue for Dinosaur Valley.”
Entry to Dinosaur Valley is free with entry to Scenic World, with tickets priced from $39 for adults, $21 for children under 14 years and $99 for a family pass including entry for two adults and up to five children. Tickets include unlimited travel on the Scenic Railway, Skyway, Cableway and Walkway and are on sale now.
