In this current traffic report, you will find the figures for passengers, flight movements and air cargo for June 2018 and the period since the beginning of the year.
Traffic figures June 2018
• Passengers: 3,066,777 passengers landed and took off from Schönefeld and Tegel. This is a fall of 3.1% from June of last year. In June 1,095,365 passengers (-4.4%) flew from Schönefeld and 1,971,412 (-2.4%) from Tegel.
• Flight movements: The number of flight movements at Schönefeld and Tegel airports sank to 25,530 take-offs and landings in June 2018, a decline of 0.9% in comparison with June 2017. In Schönefeld, the number of flight movements rose to 9,272 (+0.2%). In Tegel, the number of flight movements sank to 16,258 (-1.5%) in June.
• Air cargo: 3,698 tonnes of air cargo were registered at Schönefeld and Tegel airports in June 2018, a decline of 21.8% in comparison with June 2017. Air cargo in Schönefeld reached 1,052 tonnes (+32.4%). At Tegel, 2,646 tonnes (-32.7%) were registered.
Traffic figures January to June 2018
• Passengers: 15,593,554 passengers flew from Schönefeld and Tegel from January to June, a decline of 4.2% in comparison with the previous year. In Schönefeld, 6,171,799 (-0.1%) passengers took off and landed, while 9,421,755 (-6.7%) travellers flew from Tegel.
• Flight movements: The number of flight movements at Schönefeld and Tegel sank to 134,948 take-offs and landings in the first half of 2018, a decline of 2.9% in comparison with the same time period last year. The number of flight movements at Schönefeld rose to 50,946 (+1.4%) while there were 84,002 (-5.3%) take-offs and landings at Tegel.
• Air cargo: Between January and June, overall 19,180 tonnes of air cargo were registered – a decrease of 25.7% from the same time period last year. In the first six months, 5,724 tonnes of air cargo (25.7%) were dispatched from Schönefeld, and 13,456 (-36.7%) from Tegel.
