Scoot can now provide a safe travel pathway to support passengers who need to travel both in and out of Australia via Scoot’s three-times weekly Perth – Singapore service. This is part of an arrangement where Scoot, Singapore Airlines (SIA) and SilkAir customers can travel from 19 select points (in Australia, China, Denmark, Germany, Hong Kong SAR, Japan, New Zealand, South Korea, Taiwan, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom) to any destination in the SIA Group network via transit through Singapore Changi Airport. Other approved Australian points, operated by SIA, include Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney.

Passengers may transit through Perth from other states and territories within Australia if they meet conditions and regulations. For passengers entering Perth from Singapore, quarantine measures will still apply upon arrival.

Passengers who need to travel, including those returning to their home countries, or those returning home to Australia, can only make outbound journeys from the approved points. Return flights, which transit through Singapore, to any of the approved points are only possible if passengers are travelling from one of the approved cities to another (e.g. Perth – Singapore – Guangzhou or Guangzhou – Singapore – Perth). Please note that transfers to destinations in Mainland China are currently not available. Passengers should ensure their flights are booked in a single booking, and they must meet all departing and arriving government requirements and restrictions.

In line with regulatory requirements, transit and non-transit passengers will be kept apart throughout their journey, they will be assigned seats for their flights when they check in, and they should remain within their designated zone in the aircraft. This is also to facilitate contact tracing and safe distancing.

Upon arrival in Singapore, Scoot transit customers will be ushered to a designated transit holding area at Terminal 1 before boarding their connecting flight. If their transit time is less than 75 minutes, passengers will be ushered to their boarding gate. The Terminal 1 transit holding area includes food kiosks, vending machines, restrooms, and complimentary Wi-Fi will be available. Aerotel Singapore, the transit hotel at Terminal 1, is also available for bookings.
