Save 25 per cent on all Indian river cruises departing in the months of December 2019, March and April 2020

Australians seeking a rare wildlife experience can save 25 per cent on a boutique river cruise along India’s sacred Brahmaputra River, shadowed by the Himalayan mountains, this region is home to India’s most iconic animals, including the Royal Bengal tiger and great one-horned Rhinoceros.

For all sailings of the Brahmaputra River in the months of December, March and April, Adventure Resorts and Cruises (ARC) is offering a 25 per cent discount for Australian travellers. The special offer is available until sold out. Departure dates are December 1 and 22, 2019, March 1, 8 and 29, 2020 and April 5, 2020.

Beginning in Guwahati and ending at Jorhat, the seven-night cruise offers incredible views of the 7000m-high Himalayas, visiting the birthplace of English Breakfast Tea, showcasing India’s iconic and magnificent wildlife and offering the opportunity to enjoy bonfires on deserted river islands at night.  The seven-night cruise is one of the few river cruises to sail through a national park – Kaziranga National Park – home to wild buffaloes, elephants, Bengal tigers, freshwater dolphins, and two-thirds of the world’s great one-horned rhinoceros. The Assam region is also home to over 800 species of birds and as travellers make their way along the Brahmaputra River, they will also have the chance to see clouded and spotted leopards as well as the hoolock gibbon swinging amongst the trees on the riverside.

Guests will cruise onboard ARC’s boutique, 46-guest river ship, MV Mahabaahu, which boasts a swimming pool, spa, bars, lounge, restaurant and sun deck.

Available until sold out, the 25 per cent discount means fares are available from AUD $2680 per person, twin-share, for any seven-night Brahmaputra River cruise in the months of December, 2019, and March and April, 2020. All shipboard main meals, transfers and daily shore excursions are included. Flights from Australia are extra.

“A cruise on the Brahmaputra River offers Australians an exclusive and exotic new adventure far off the beaten tourist trail,” said ARC Chairman Sanjay Basu. “Accommodation in Assam is also very limited so a journey aboard the MV Mahabaahu offers the best, easiest and most secure way to explore the region.”
