Staying true to its name, RumFire Waikiki is being reignited, celebrating the cuisine and culture of some of the greatest rum regions from around the world.

The return of the largest rum list in Waikīkī highlights the revamped menus, which feature rum-centric cocktails, zero-proof beverages and tantalizingly creative dishes by Executive Sous Chef Danny Chew. Along with RumFire’s signature Mai Tai, there are old favorites such as Dark and Stormy, as well as cool new creations like Sugoi Liliko‘i and Ho‘onanea. The new food menu sizzles with dishes that pay homage to Hawai‘i, and great rum-producing regions in Latin America and the Caribbean. For starters, there is the chicharrones, corn “elote,” chips + dip (smoked fish spread and hummus), “Dynamite” featuring marlin; salads and vegetables like quinoa, burrata and broccolini. Entrée selections represent choices from the land and the sea like pork tomahawk, long-bone short rib, duck leg, Kauai shrimp, softshell crab and whole snapper.

Since opening in 2008, RumFire has been one of the most popular spots in Waikīkī for many of life’s celebrations. This new renaissance also brings significant aesthetic upgrades including new furniture to encourage more interaction between friends and elevated lighting along the oceanfront lanais so that there is more time to enjoy cool yet fiery atmosphere. RumFire Waikiki is open at 11:30 a.m., and features a daily Happy Hour between 3 and 5 p.m. Club Nights are also held on Friday and Saturday nights from 9 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. Some of Hawaii’s most talented musicians provide live music beginning at 1 p.m. each day. Live deejays are also featured Thursday through Sunday, 9:30 p.m. to 1 a.m. RumFire features both indoor and outdoor seating for groups of all sizes, and also features cabanas and a Firebox room for private parties. Private parties can be booked by calling (808) 931-8661 or via e-mail at tsubasa.ogura@marriott.com.
