Modern Industrial Design
Adjacent to the signature Shougang No.3 Blast Furnace, Shang Brew boasts magnificent views of both Xiuchi Lake and Shijingshan Hill. Designed by Wilson Associates, Shang Brew features a contemporary and refined design, while drawing parallels between steel manufacturing processes and an industrial aesthetic – a tribute to the century long history of Shougang Park.

When guests enter the restaurant, they are greeted by installations and components from the old plant area. Walking further into the space, guests will see a series of brew tanks, imprinted with the founding year of Shougang, 1919. Another design highlight is the ceiling that features a geometrical pattern fixed in white concrete. Shang Brew can accommodate up to 245 diners with a variety of dinning spaces available, from high tables, lounge seating, outdoor settings, and two private dining rooms “Lakeside” and “Liquid Steel”. Additionally, the stage in the lounge area will host live performers while guests relax and enjoy the thoughtful selection of craft beers.

Culinary Fusions with Craft Beer Pairing The nearly 250 square metre brewery inside the restaurant is equipped with state-of-the-art machinery including a mash/lauter tun, reverse osmosis technology, a fermentation cellar and heat exchanger. Shangri-La’s professional brewers handpick hops and spices from around the world and incorporate these quality ingredients to create six signature brews – “Gang Pi”, “1919”, “Wrought Iron”, “Ingot IPA”, “Cold Roller” and “1888°”. Additionally, the brewery is offering seasonal and one-off beers to surprise and delight guests.

Shang Brew offers more than 40 delicious dishes reflecting both the Eastern and Western influences at play. The team of culinary talents drew inspiration from the industrial traditions of Shougang and developed the exceptional Shang Brew Signatures like Beijing-style skewers “Gang Chuan’r” and “Signature Burger”.

A Social Space
Shang Brew is more than a restaurant and a brew house, but a venue with thoughtful service that brings people together. As well as weekly live music performances, it will also host a series of “Shang Brew x Friends” themed programmes, connecting it’s indoor and outdoor spaces and setting the stage for guests to gather, connect with new friends, exchange ideas and find inspiration.
