Silver Muse is the cruise line’s brand-new ship; she launched for the first time in April 2017.  She is the largest and most luxurious vessel in Silversea’s fleet to call Australia home. The much-anticipated arrival of Silver Muse in Darwin marks just one of many Australian maiden ports of call as she makes her way towards her final destination of Sydney, and then on to New Zealand.  From Darwin, guests aboard Silver Muse are enjoying an unforgettable journey down the idyllic east coast of Australia, making maiden ports of call at Cairns, Townsville, the Whitsunday Islands and Brisbane, before arriving into Sydney for the very first time on 6 January 2019.

As Silver Muse sails towards Sydney, guests can expect to travel through idyllic untouched regions of spectacular beauty, on an itinerary punctuated by vibrant cities and tranquil days at sea.  Guests will discover an intriguing combination of lush rainforests, rugged mountains, white sandy beaches, native animals and cosmopolitan evenings.  Guests will visit many of Australia’s iconic destinations, including: the World-Heritage listed Great Barrier Reef; Magnetic island; the Whitsunday Islands; and the Mt Tamborine rainforest.  Guests will also have the opportunity to experience a full Australian barbeque and wine tasting in Brisbane; and have the option to take part in a Sydney Harbour Bridge Climb.

The 596-guest vessel offers uncompromising levels of comfort, service and quality for the world’s most discerning travellers.  On board, guests experience enhanced small-ship intimacy, spacious all suite accommodations, expansive outdoor spaces and the most comprehensive choice of dining options at sea with eight venues, including specialty choices such as Kaiseki and Indochine, plus 24-hour complimentary dining options throughout the ship.

Adam Armstrong, Managing Director – Australia and New Zealand, Silversea Cruises, said,

Silver Muse is, without question, an inspirational work of art and the epitome of luxury.  We are absolutely thrilled that Silver Muse is in Australia, which is an arrival we have been eagerly awaiting for some time, and also reflects our strong commitment to the market.  We are excited to showcase the authentic natural beauty of Australia and New Zealand to our Silver Muse guests. This is of course our newest ship, and Silver Muse truly is one of the most luxurious, boutique vessels in the world, therefore I can’t think of a better way to explore Down Under.

“We are also pleased that locally, guests are taking the opportunity to sail on board Silver Muse whilst she is in the region. She will remain here until February 2019 before she departs on her Asia Grand Voyage.  Excitingly, she will then return to our waters towards the end of 2019 to spend more than four months in Australia and New Zealand, marking her longest season in the region to date.”

Following her arrival into Sydney on 6thJanuary 2019, Silver Muse will then sail to Auckland for her maiden visit on the 19thJanuary 2019 and will then offer a number of sailings between Australia and New Zealand.  On 2ndFebruary 2019, Silver Musewill depart on her Grand Asia Pacific Voyage(Sydney to Tokyo – 74 days).  Silver Muse will return in 2019/20 and stay for over four months (late November to end of March).
