Singapore Airlines today confirmed a second Airbus A350-900 medium-haul aircraft will service the Singapore-Perth route from 1 July 2019.http://www.stevecafeandcuisine.com/

The announcement comes as the first A350-900 medium-haul aircraft begins operating to Perth today on SQ213/226.

From 1 July 2019 Perth will see a 12% increase in capacity across the two A350-900 operated flights, with the changes coming a little over a year after the airline deployed their all new Boeing 787-10 to the West Australian capital last year on SQ215/216.

Singapore Airlines Regional Vice President, Mr Philip Goh, said the decision to deploy a second A350-900 on the route reinforced Singapore Airlines commitment to Perth and the Western Australia market.

“We’ve been operating to Perth for 52 years and we’ve continued to grow our services in line with the demand that we’ve seen,” Mr Goh said.

“With the deployment of a second A350-900 from 1 July, our customers will not only have access to more seats, but also our latest medium-haul cabin products.

“From lie-flat Business Class seats to the newly designed Economy Class seats I am confident customers travelling to and from Perth will thoroughly enjoy their experience, especially when it is accompanied by our famous Singapore Airlines service.”

The A350-900 medium-haul aircraft is equipped with the Airline’s medium-haul Business Class and Economy Class cabin products and features 40 seats in Business Class and 263 seats in Economy Class.

The Business Class cabin boasts a 1-2-1 seat arrangement, providing every customer with direct aisle access, while the Economy Class cabin is arranged in a 3-3-3 configuration.

The A350-900 medium-haul is fitted with the latest Thales AVANT inflight entertainment system. Designed with a new user interface that offers a more intuitive user experience and navigation options, customers will be able to enjoy Singapore Airlines’ myKrisWorld personalised in-flight entertainment (IFE) now with even greater control.

The myKrisWorld system provides customers with content recommendations based on their preferences and viewing history, while KrisFlyer members can continue to bookmark and resume content, as well as customise and save preferences and playlists for their subsequent flights. KrisFlyer members and Business Class customers will also have access to additional in-flight entertainment content choices.

Complementing this experience, customers can select their choice of playlists from the SingaporeAir mobile app prior to the flight, and transfer these selections to myKrisWorld by pairing their personal electronic devices with the onboard system via Near-Field Communication (NFC).

Furthermore, customers will have access to high-speed in-flight WiFi with the aircraft equipped with Inmarsat GX Aviation’s broadband connectivity system, offered through SITAONAIR.
