Spread the love

Travel may temporarily be grounded, but we all know the secret to a great vacation is in the planning. In addition to its newest program At Home with Six Senses, Six Senses Resorts Hotels Spas has been busy putting the finishing touches on new renovations and openings.

New Beach Club at Six Senses Samui

Six Senses Samui is home to the newest beach bar and pool side lounge – serving up unpretentious wholesome flavors from our wood-fired oven and grill and tantalizing tipples of cocktails. It is a “come as you are” venue to enjoy soaking up the sun or lounging under the moonlight whilst watching your favorite movie. Drift at the Beach also serves as the perfect location for beach-side weddings, celebrations or meetings, supplemented by a stunning new two-bedroom Beach Reserve.

Renovated Hilltop at Six Senses Yao Noi

With its design inspired in part by the nests of the island’s resident Hornbills, The Hilltop at Six Senses Yao Noi has reopened after an extensive renovation. Now home to The Tasting Room and a relaxed bar complete with daybeds, trampoline nets and a swinging bridge, The Hilltop still offers guests one of the best views in Southeast Asia overlooking Phang Nga Bay. The iconic infinity-edge pool has also been given a fresh new look for Insta-worthy swimming snaps.

Six Senses Bumthang

Six Senses Bumthang, launched in March, completes the circuit of five lodges that comprises Six Senses Bhutan. Carefully built as a forest within a forest, Six Senses Bumthang offers eight spacious suites as well as a beautifully appointed two-bedroom villa. The forests are dotted with monasteries and are an ideal springboard to consider the power of community as you eat lunch in the home of a local family or hone your football skills with young monks. Bhutan leads the world by measuring success in terms of Gross National Happiness – the property upholds this approach as guests travel around from lodge to lodge.

Six Senses Shaharut

Set to open in September 2020, Six Senses Shaharut will showcase the enchanting landscapes and rich Biblical heritage of Israel’s Negev Desert. The architecture of the 60 suites and villas has been designed to integrate into the desert topography and preserve the natural terrain whilst the myriad activities and experiences on offer are out-of-the-ordinary. The resort is easily reachable from Tel Aviv,  Jerusalem and Petra, allowing for magical itineraries combining Jordan and Israel.

Six Senses Fort Barwara

Six Senses Fort Barwara occupies a 14th-century royal fort. A significant conservation project, the fort has been sensitively preserved and converted to house two restaurants, a bar and lounge, Six Senses Spa, two swimming pools and 48 suites within the site’s original walls. It offers a resting point during a busy touring itinerary of Rajasthan and is within easy striking distance of Ranthambore National Park for those looking to take a walk on the wild side with the local tiger population. The property is set to open late 2020.

At Home with Six Senses

What can we do when we are grounded at home? Since late March, Six Senses has launched At Home with Six Senses, prioritizing a range of content that guests, hosts and global communities can tap into remotely from their homes. Each week, Six Senses properties shared various contents via social media platforms, ranging from Meditation Chanting in Bhutan, World Donkey Day from Douro Valley, and Wellness Wednesday from Zighy Bay. More video, tutorial, and article will be shared via Six Senses corporate and resort social media channels, newsletters and sixsenses.com.

In usual circumstances, one would have to travel halfway around the world to meet these leading experts in their field; Friends of Six Senses is introduced to specifically address today’s reality. The idea is to help people open their minds to future growth and possibilities while providing practical tools to calm fears and imagine their world anew. Friends of Six Senses guests including: expert on human behavior and relationships Stan Tatkin; best-selling author Dani Shapiro; human, body and brain performance coach Ben Greenfield; and wildlife and literacy activist Boyd Varty. Sessions take place each Sunday on Facebook Live @SixSensesSpas.
