Star Clippers has revealed that November 2021 – March 2022 is to be the last season they will offer sailings in Southeast Asian waters for the time being.

For the first time since 2016, all three of the Star Clippers fleet of tall ships will sail in the Mediterranean during the 2022 European Summer months, operating itineraries in both Eastern and Western Mediterranean.

Star Clippers also announces the release of the new digital Mediterranean 2022 Preview Brochure, detailing all three ships 38 destination focused itineraries across 73 dazzling cruises spanning the Middle Sea, with Early Booking Fares which include savings of UP TO 30%. As part of the transition, Star Clipper will leave Safaga in April 2022 for the famous Suez Canal, offering guests a one-off opportunity to pass through the artificial sea-level waterway in Egypt which connects the Mediterranean Sea to the Red Sea on a unique tall ship sailing experience. Once back in Mediterranean waters Star Clipper will then offer various itineraries including an Istanbul to Athens 7 night ‘Yachtman’s Paradise’ sailing as well as Rome and Cannes roundtrips from May through to October.

Mikael Krafft, Owner of Star Clippers said “It’s hugely exciting to be welcoming Star Clipper back to the Mediterranean to join her sisters for the 2022 Mediterranean season. Whilst it is sad to be leaving Asia for now, for the past few years it’s been challenging to meet ever growing demand for our popular Med sailings so we know this is going to be welcomed news for our trade partners and guests. Equally, with the last season of Asia sailings taking place during 2021 and early 2022, we are anticipating a huge demand for these sailings before Star Clipper returns.”

The one- off 10-night Suez Canal crossing cruise-only, sailing from Safaga to Athens, on board Star Clipper, including all meals on board, port charges, gratuities and early booking discount starts from $3,975 per person, double occupancy, departing on the 20th April 2022. Ports of call will include Port Said and Alexandria (Egypt) as well as Rhodes, Santorini and Hydra (Greece).

Star Clipper’s three magnificent tall ships offer the exhilaration of sailing beneath billowing sails in the company of around 200 like-minded guests. Relax on the scrubbed teak deck, beneath billowing sails. Lie in the bowsprit net as the bow slices through the waves. Climb the rigging over 20 metres for a magnificent birds eye view of the sun decks and pools, amid the sails and the rigging. Enjoy long, relaxing days at sea, and many more ashore, discovering far off and idyllic islands, beaches, small villages and lush, tropical forests, calling into small ports and harbours inaccessible by larger vessels.
