Evergreen Cruises and Tours is upping its on-board fitness and games programs with the introduction of Activity Managers across its fleet of European Emerald Waterways Star-Ships.
The Activity Managers will join all seven Star-Ships cruising the waterways of Europe in April 2019. Responsible for enhancing EmeraldACTIVE on-shore excursions, the Activity Mangers will coordinate activities such as guided cycle tours, hiking and canoeing experiences, and a range of daily on-board classes.
New for the 2019 season is a selection of fitness activities such as yoga and Pilates sessions, aqua aerobics in the heated indoor pools, and “walk-a-mile” on the Sun Deck, while evenings will feature activities such as karaoke nights, card tournaments and gameshow style quizzes.
Mr Angus Crichton, Director for Sales, Marketing and Product for Evergreen explained: “We initially trialled the Activity Manager on one of our Star-Ships last summer. Based on the exceptionally positive feedback from guests we developed our EmeraldACTIVE program and have added dedicated Activity Managers on all of our European fleet.
“The growth in popularity of our EmeraldACTIVE program highlights an increasing demand from our guests for more active and adventurous excursion options, and the opportunity to explore Europe’s towns, cities and countryside on guided bike and hiking tours”, he said.
