Filming is starting this week on the Sunshine Coast for a new TV series featuring Kim McCosker, whose 4 Ingredients cookbook has been one of the most successful food and cooking concepts over the past decade, selling eight million cookbooks worldwide and inspiring two TV series.

Her newest TV show 4 Ingredients – The Easiest TV Show Ever! is being filmed at a farmhouse on the Sunshine Coast, where a vegetable patch has been planted, chicken coop built and edible flowers grown.

Dishes being featured in the new show have been selected as a result of direct feedback from Kim’s followers and will build on the central theme of the 4 Ingredients idea – to design easy-to-cook, affordable and nutritious dishes suitable for all the family.

Kim is a long-time Sunshine Coast local and is a great champion of the region’s high-quality produce and ideal growing conditions.

“It’s wonderful to be able to showcase the Sunshine Coast in my latest show because the setting is so attractive and the local produce is perfect to work with,” said Kim McCosker.

“Good, fresh ingredients are at the heart of great cooking and fortunately the Sunshine Coast has a perfect environment to produce just about anything: from seafood and dairy through to exotic herbs and edible plants.

“I’m very pleased to have Visit Sunshine Coast as a partner in the production of the show, because good food is an essential ingredient of a good holiday and we will put the two together.”

Production of 4 Ingredients – The Easiest TV Show Ever! continues the Sunshine Coast’s affinity with food, coming just a month after the inaugural staging of The Curated Plate culinary festival.

CEO of Visit Sunshine Coast, Simon Latchford, said that Kim McCosker has been an outstanding Ambassador for the region’s food scene, and her new TV series will provide even greater focus on the region’s rich food diversity.

“Kim’s 4 Ingredients concept has captured the attention of people from all over the world and we are sure the new show will attract even more fans,” said Mr Latchford.

“Food has become an increasingly important driver of tourism, and while vacationers may initially choose the Sunshine Coast because of its beaches, climate and activities, we are attracting both return visitors and a new audience because of the reputation of our food scene and events such as The Curated Plate.”
