Spread the love

10 lucky agents have just returned from a week-long winter famil to Switzerland as part of the 2018 Swiss Travel Pass SuperStar Program, where they sampled a series of trains, cable cars, boat rides, bus rides and more while marvelling at the sheer beauty for which the alpine country is famous.

Starting in Zurich, major highlights included dining at the world’s first vegetarian restaurant, Haus Hiltl; a decadent fondue dinner and Christmas light show at the Illuminarium Fondue Palace; visiting the famous Christmas House in Basel by Johann Wanner; taking in some fine art at the Kuntsmuseum Basel, immersing in Switzerland’s largest Christmas market in Basel; ascending Mount Pilatus and exploring the historical city of Lucerne; embarking on the panoramic Luzern – Interlaken Express (part of the Grand Train Tour of Switzerland); visiting Jungfraujoch, Top of Europe; jumping on the panoramic GoldenPass Line to Montreux and exploring the city’s stunning Christmas markets; discovering Hinterdorf, the oldest part of Zermatt village; riding up to Gornergrat and Matterhorn Glacier Paradise; and checking out the brand new Glacier Express Excellence Class before journeying to Brig on the Glacier Express. The group also enjoyed an international gala night in Zermatt with other agents from around the world.

A joint initiative between the Swiss Travel System, Switzerland Tourism and Rail Europe, the Swiss Travel Pass SuperStar Program equips agents with useful information about travelling around Switzerland, the benefits of Swiss Travel Pass as well as the many journeys around the country. Updates on new and improved products are also provided in the program.
