Marriott International is pleased to announce Rebecca Gollan’s appointment as Director of Sales and Marketing at Surfers Paradise Marriott Resort & Spa.

As the Director of Sales and Marketing, Rebecca will be managing the sales, marketing and events team and will be responsible for the curation and execution of the resort’s sales and marketing strategy. Ravinder Dhesi, General Manager, Surfers Paradise Marriott Resort & Spa, is thrilled to have Rebecca on board. “Rebecca brings with her a wealth of industry knowledge and experience which will be instrumental in driving her teams forward to achieve business objectives, while also strengthening the competitive position of the hotel as leading property in Surfers Paradise,” said Ravinder.

Rebecca joins the Surfers Paradise Marriott Resort & Spa team with more than 15 years of hotelier experience; most recently, she was the National Sales Manager for Meriton’s 18 Australian properties. Rebecca began her travel and tourism career as a travel agent, before joining the Accor group as a Sales Executive at Novotel Sydney Olympic Park where her love of sales strategy began. After three years as Associate Director of Sales at Brisbane’s Stamford Plaza, Rebecca returned to the Accor Group as Cluster Director of Sales and Marketing for Brisbane Novotel, Ibis and Mercure.

Last November marked the 25th anniversary of the Surfers Paradise Marriott Resort & Spa, and Rebecca looks forward to joining this iconic property at such an exciting time. A lover of the Gold Coast and its spectacular lifestyle, Rebecca has a strong interest in fine food and wine, which naturally drew her towards Surfers Paradise Marriott Resort & Spa as one of the leading restaurant hotels on the Gold Coast.

“The Gold Coast has really come of age. Its food and wine scene has grown significantly in the past five years and Surfers Paradise Marriott Resort & Spa leads the way with two brilliant restaurants; Citrique and Misono,” says Rebecca.

In addition to its famous dining options, the resort features a tropical oasis complete with waterfalls and lagoon, along with a dedicated conference floor with 11 meeting spaces and a Ballroom which can seat up to 800 delegates.

With Marriott International’s three loyalty programs being streamlined into one, Rebecca is joining Marriott International at a very monumental time in the company’s history.
