Spread the love

Wanted to see if I can pique your interest in a story on how dating sites are contributing to the spread of the Coronavirus, which was a topic of a recent survey that was conducted by camming site ImLive.com, and has since spurred a large “anti dating campaign” that has drawn support from celebrities like Bella Thorne. In addition to revealing that nearly 24% of people on dating sites have met up with someone they matched with during quarantine, there were some really interesting trends that I think will be of interest to your readers.

For example, it turns out that cheaters, in addition to not caring about hurting their loved one’s feelings, don’t care about spreading the coronavirus. According to the survey, which polled of 1,000 people who use dating and camming sites, 24% of respondents who use dating/apps and have physically met with someone they matched during quarantine are living with a partner or married. This is nearly 20% higher than single people.

If interested, I’d be happy to share the data and some of the most interesting findings, including:

  • Nearly 24% of people on dating sites have met up with someone they matched during quarantine
  • The age of people who are most likely disregard social distancing cues is not what you think. The youngest demographic polled (18-24) was actually the least likely to meet up with someone they matched up during quarantine, whereas those 35-44 were the most likely.
  • People on Tinder were most likely to meet up with someone they matched during quarantine, followed by Facebook and Match.com
