Merlin Entertainments has thrown support behind today’s announcement that every adult in NSW will receive four $25 vouchers to spend in Sydney’s CBD to help stimulate the struggling dining and entertainment sectors, including attractions such as SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium, Madame Tussauds Sydney, WILD LIFE Sydney Zoo and Sydney Tower Eye.

The initial trial in Sydney’s CBD under the ‘Out and About’ scheme will see each adult receive a total of $100 worth of vouchers, to be used separately across various businesses with the hope that more NSW residents will consider the CBD as a fun, entertaining and affordable option for a day out.

Rob Smith, Divisional Director of Merlin Entertainments Group said: “This is a welcome step towards increasing both frequency and dwell time of a visit to metro-Sydney at a time when the dining and entertainment sectors need it more than ever.

“Sydney has so much to offer and it is fantastic to see that there is support on its way to revitalise the city and encourage people back to the businesses people know and love.

“The next step is the consideration of increasing capacity restrictions so businesses can truly ‘get back to business’ and do what they do best. We can’t wait to welcome visitors from across NSW into our attractions with plenty of exciting new activities planned for the upcoming school holidays, which will be announced soon”.

More information on how the incentive scheme works will be available shortly.
