Tourism and Events Queensland (TEQ) has appointed Cassie Zuill to the role of Regional Manager United Kingdom.

Ms Zuill has held senior roles across several global brands in travel, most recently at The Travel Corporation as Head of Marketing for Trafalgar, following six years at Tourism Australia.

TEQ’s Chief Executive Officer Leanne Coddington welcomed Ms Zuill to the role.

“Cassie brings a combination of Australian tourism industry and UK experience to the role, and has worked closely with airlines, trade partners, government stakeholders and tourism operators,” Ms Coddington said.

“The appointment underlines our ongoing commitment to the UK market and comes after TEQ formed a new strategic partnership with Tourism Australia in late 2018,” she said.

“Working closely with Tourism Australia to ensure Queensland experiences are front of mind is at the heart of our approach in key source markets like the UK.”

Sally Cope, Regional General Manager, UK & Northern Europe for Tourism Australia welcomed the announcement.

“Tourism Australia looks forward to welcoming Cassie to Destination Australia, the strategic partnership that we have here in the UK with our State Tourism Organisation peers,” Ms Cope said.

“We know Queensland’s diverse offering continues to be a significant drawcard for Brits when planning a visit to Australia and we look forward to working with Cassie and her team on future initiatives in this market.”

Ms Zuill will commence in the role on Wednesday, 3 April 2019.
