Colourful Cultural Traditions & Decadent Dishes in Hong Kong

Known as the ‘City of Life’, Hong Kong is steeped in culture and history. Reconnect with family and friends on the second day of the Lunar New Year, and celebrate with a decadent 4-course dinner in the warm ambience at The Upper House’s illustrious grand café – Café Gray Deluxe. Start the evening with the Kumquat Marinated Kingfish with Cucumber and Rice Crackers, followed by a main course of Wagyu Beef Cheek with Dong Gwai Bouillon, Lotus Seeds and Wolfberries, a succulent creation that meticulously blends in distinctive Chinese ingredients.

Served throughout the Lunar New Year, Cafe Gray Bar presents Firecracker and Fortune – two original cocktails in the festive red and gold colour. Sweet and tangy, Firecracker brings surprises to the lips with a popping candy garnish. Made with homemade beer syrup, the cocktail bursts with floral and malty notes. Fortune, a vodka martini made with Vin jaune that pleases with a refreshing citrus aroma.

On the fourth day of the Lunar New Year, The Upper House will also host an authentic Lion Dance to herald the Year of The Rat, the first of the 12 zodiac signs, to bring prosperity, good luck and peace.
