The SIL, an e-commerce site of exclusive offerings by independent fashion designers, has teamed up with The Beverly Hills Hotel to unveil a capsule collection this holiday season inspired by the landmark property. Launching in November in one of the newly redesigned bungalows, the collection will feature ready-to-wear pieces as well as accessories designed by SIL Shop designers hailing from Paris, France to San Antonio, Texas.

“For more than a century, The Beverly Hills Hotel has remained a timeless symbol of Hollywood’s Golden Age and LA’s celebrated lifestyle, with a signature aesthetic that has become recognized around the world,” says Edward Mady, Regional Director West Coast USA and General Manager. “The hotel’s iconic design elements serve as inspiration for artists and designers, and this inaugural capsule collection with The SIL is an example of the relevant influence this beloved property continues to have in the fashion world,” he adds.

Founded by Natalie Bloomingdale, The SIL’s own branding was very much inspired by the color palette of The Beverly Hills Hotel, her favorite Los Angeles haunt. A frequent visitor of the Polo Lounge, the hotel’s legendary restaurant and bar, Natalie channeled the green and white stripes used throughout the hotel for her packaging, and The SIL’s logo is a nod to the hotel’s script logo.

Bloomingdale tapped The SIL designers Cassandra King Polidori, Hayden Lasher, Jane Pendry of Dovima Paris, Molly Moorkamp, and Tish Cox to interpret the property’s iconic green and blush pink colors for the holiday capsule.

“To have this opportunity to bridge my love of The Beverly Hills Hotel and my appreciation for the fashion community is really a dream come true,” said Natalie Bloomingdale, founder of The SIL. “I am delighted to share what these talented designers have created for this memorable occasion.”

Hayden Lasher is a handbag designer who launched her line to complement the iconic Belgian loafer. Her great uncle Henri Bendel opened the New York institution, Belgian Shoes, located on the Upper East Side of New York. For the capsule, Houston-based Lasher is debuting a crocodile-embossed pink version as a nod to the Pink Palace.

From beginning her fashion career at the Paris bureau of WWD and Vogue to working at such storied houses as Yves Saint Laurent and Givenchy, Paris-based Jane Pendry is beloved for her bespoke creations with her line, Dovima Paris. For The SIL x The Beverly Hills Hotel, she has designed a head-to-toe look that also works beautifully as separates – a full-length taffeta pop-over bow skirt that adds drama to either a chic full-length silk shirtdress, or a silk blouse and pants, with a fine tweed cardigan-jacket to complete the look.

New York-based designer Molly Moorkamp has recently launched an eponymous womenswear brand focusing on accessible occasion pieces that embody her timeless and energetic aesthetic, anchored in color and femininity. The Oscar de la Renta and Ralph Lauren vet designed a glamourous light gold lamé caftan, heavily embellished around the neckline as her capsule offering.

Cassandra King Polidori’s line, Cassandra Collections, is beloved amongst devotees in Texas and New York, two states in which she has called home and built a loyal following. Polidori is reimagining her classic earring drop design with a hunter green grosgrain bow and freshwater pearl for The SIL x The Beverly Hills Hotel.

Cult-followed Dallas-based designer Tish Cox is known for her unconventional, ladylike pieces. For the capsule, she designed a structured green top in corduroy that nips at the waist and features voluminous shoulders as well as matching wide wale corduroy shorts.

Each designer will descend upon Los Angeles for a trunkshow event at The Beverly Hills Hotel on November 14th and 15th to showcase the capsule and offer a shopping opportunity to invited guests.

The pieces will be exclusively available for purchase at the trunkshow event, on shopthesil.com, and at the hotel’s gift shop through December.
