Ushering in a new era of first class hospitality, Malaysia’s legendary The Datai Langkawi unveils the latest addition to its accommodation offerings, The Datai Estate Villa.

A unique and ultra luxurious experience, the expansive five-bedroom villa is one of the largest of its kind in Asia and a true escape to nature, allowing guests to soak in the sensational natural setting of the ancient rainforest from a private veranda, while being just walking distance to the Andaman Sea.

Bathed in natural light and decorated in alluring neutral tones, interior designer and architect Didier Lefort has drawn inspiration from Malaysia’s finest craftsmen and artisans, which pay tribute to the country’s rich heritage and the local environment, while adding modern touches that anchor The Datai Langkawi in the present day. Spanning over 3,500 square metres,

The Datai Estate Villa comprises two spacious living rooms; five bedrooms including one master, each with its own balcony; two connecting pools; two dining rooms; a pool table and bar; and a flexible space which can be adapted to the guests’ needs to create a children’s playroom, a spa treatment room or even a small gym. Guests also enjoy 24-hour butler service and their very own private chef preparing mouth-watering culinary delights that celebrate regional flavours, as well as complimentary airports transfers and a minibarfeaturing soft drinks, beers, spirits and snacks. Exclusive benefits also include daily afternoon tea and an à la carte breakfast served in the comfort of the villa or at the resort’s The Beach Club restaurant located just moments away from the villa. Perfect for creating meaningful shared moments for large families or groups of friends, The Datai Estate Villa can be booked in its entirety or separately as the three-bedroom Meranti villa accommodating up to eight adults or as the two-bedroom Seraya villa for six adults.

The resort’s substantial renovation has seen a complete overhaul of The Datai Langkawi’s interiors and guest rooms, suites, villas and public spaces, all designed with simplicity in Didier Lefort’s unique style which is true to its origin. As well as the new The Datai Estate Villa, three Rainforest Pool Villas have been added, located along the Datai River running through the 65-acre rainforest, supplementing the existing five and all featuring an impressive deck and 10-metre pool overlooking crystal clear waters. The lobby and overall landscaping have undergone the most dramatic and notable change of all, whilst a brand-new dedicated The Nature Centre is run by a team of naturalists and marine biologists led by Irshad Mobarak, the resort’s highly regarded resident naturalist. Built in a bamboo structure, The Nature Centre      is inspired by the traditional Malaysian longhouses and is the start of the mangrove and rainforest walk, linking to the Canopy Walk, a 15-minute high suspended bridge within the canopy.
