Spread the love

The 2019 version of the public relations video for Diamond Route, the expansive sightseeing route shared among Fukushima, Tochigi, and Ibaraki Prefectures, has been completed.

The stunning sightseeing content from the three prefectures of Fukushima, Tochigi, and Ibaraki have been produced in video form and is now available online on a video platform to share with the whole world under the name: Diamond Route.

The version for FY2018 exceeded a total of 22 million plays and was highly acclaimed both within Japan and overseas. The version for FY2019, however, includes drone video footage and was shot in 4K video for images that are even more immersive and engaging. In addition to the Digest video, there are three additional themes: SAMURAI Spirits, Outdoors & Sports, and Nature & Gastronomy. All four videos were released on February 1st and already, after three weeks online, have been played more than 23 million times.

Places Like Tsurugajo Castle and J Village Captured in Video Form

From a base in Tokyo, this year’s video takes us to places across all three prefectures, including Tsurugajo Castle, Abukumado Caves, J Village, and Yunokami Onsen Station, all of which are in Fukushima Prefecture.

Some Non-Japanese People Say the Videos are Too Beautiful, and They Rave About How Much They Love Them

With the multiple plays these videos are seeing, we are getting feedback on social media both from people within Japan and from people the world over.

In particular, feedback on social media from the United States and France have included comments like, “Too beautiful!”, “I can’t tell you how much I love this video! I watch it over and over!”, “This is the best video I’ve ever seen!”, and “Thank you for making this video!” Everyone working for prefectural government is thrilled to be seeing this feedback.

We would love for you to watch the video and, if there are locations that captured your attention and moved you, then please come and actually see those sightseeing spots in person.
