Spread the love

Hosting one of the hotel’s great traditions – a truly unique and refined Afternoon Tea with a distinct sense of heritage, The Grand Lobby now invites guests to rediscover the iconic space with newly introduced experiences. Each unique experience is enhanced with grandeur of the destination, with natural light streaming in from the skylight to floor-to ceiling Victorian pillars, promising a truly refined and elegant setting for a light repast with loved ones.

Two new gastronomic highlights await at The Grand Lobby, offering a refreshed spread of themed indulgences, all while retaining the well-loved elements that makes the iconic Afternoon Tea experience so special. Additionally, guests can begin their day at the iconic location with à la carte classic breakfast dishes, presented with a range of home-made bread and pastries, selection of eggs and refreshing beverages.

The New York Afternoon Tea

Alongside the Classic Afternoon Tea (S$78++ per guest), The Grand Lobby presents The New York Afternoon Tea (S$78++ per guest), giving guests the opportunity to journey to America with a specially curated delectable array of savouries, home-baked scones and sweet treats served on a three-tier silver stand. The Big Apple-inspired menu includes Reuben sandwiches, lobster rolls and decadent cheesecake by Executive Pastry Chef Tai Chien Lin. To complete the experience, guests may choose to pair the tea experience with handcrafted cocktails. In line with the Big Apple theme, the refreshing cocktails offered include Manhattan, Cosmopolitan and Bronx, the final touches needed for the perfect afternoon New York getaway.

The New York Afternoon Tea experience is part of its new concept of thematic afternoon tea, taking guests on a journey around the world through the culinary traditions and essence captured in the creative, everchanging menu.  This experience is exclusively available for a limited period, before guests are taken to another exciting city in the world.

A Raffles Heritage Evening

In the evening, guests can wind down with a set menu of local delights inspired by the rich flavours of Singapore’s culinary history with A Raffles Heritage Evening (S$68++ per guest). Expect to be spoilt for choice with the sharing platter, including a range of Southeast Asian Tapas such as Singapore Chilli Crab Cake, Spicy Tiger Prawns and Sesame Shrimp Toast, before diving into well-loved local classics like Singapore Laksa and Hainanese Chicken Rice. End the meal on a sweet note with perennial favourites including Chendol, Ondeh-Ondeh or Coconut Bird’s Nest Tartlets.

Complement the evening with a toast to Singapore with cocktails inspired by the rich flavours of Singapore’s culinary history such as Curry Chilli Fizz, a clever concoction of citrus and spices, or Silk-Road, Rye Whiskey accompanied with bitters and pandan syrup.
