Everyone’s favourite bedtime story The Gruffalo is coming to life at WILD LIFE Sydney Zoo and to celebrate, one lucky family will win the chance to have the zoo to themselves on a private tour and meet the purple-prickled creature in person!

Deep, dark adventures from the classic children’s book, written by Julia Donaldson and illustrated by Axel Scheffler, will step off the pages and into the attraction with the upgraded Gruffalo Spotters App available for all guests to download in September.

Using augmented reality, the App encourages visitors to follow the fun and exciting trail throughout the zoo in search of characters from the book including Mouse, Fox, Owl, Snake and more.

To celebrate the new App, WILD LIFE Sydney Zoo is giving one lucky family the chance to win a behind the scenes exploration of the Darling Harbour attraction with an expert Zookeeper.

Invited to visit on a day that the zoo is closed to the public, winners will have the attraction to themselves as they discover Australia’s incredible wildlife and get up close and personal during special animal encounters.

Winners will also be able to experiment with the new features of The Gruffalo Spotters App before meeting The Gruffalo in person during a special meet and greet on the koala rooftop.

To be in the running, entrants simply need to leave a comment under the zoo’s Facebook (@wildlifesydney) or Instagram (@wildlifesydneyzoo) page explaining in 25 words or less which animal they would most like to meet at WILD LIFE Sydney Zoo and why.

It’ll be a terribly good time for the whole family – good luck! For more information and terms and conditions, click here.
