Extensive renovations and rebranding of the newly renamed Port Washington hotel, The Harborview, (135 East Grand Ave., Port Washington, WI) are now complete and a new waterfront hotel destination has emerged.

Wisconsin-based S&L Hospitality has owned and operated the hotel since 1998. In the 21 years that have ensued, the hotel has seen many changes, but none as extensive or as exciting as this.

“Deciding to renovate and rebrand as an independent boutique-style hotel allows us to offer unique amenities and further partner with local businesses,” said Eric Lund, chief executive officer of S&L Hospitality. “We have made so many positive changes and we are thrilled to invest in beautiful Port Washington with a new restaurant, new meeting space and a revitalized hotel.”

The Harborview features a new aesthetic design throughout the common areas, including modern furniture and fixtures, high-efficiency windows throughout the hotel and local photography and artwork. Guest rooms feature upgraded bed linens and towels, premium bath products and new sofa sleepers in the suites. Outdoor improvements include enhanced lighting, new signage, updated landscaping and a revitalized garden patio area.

The Beacon Restaurant & Bar, Port Washington’s newest lake view dining experience, features a local Wisconsin specialty menu that includes fresh seafood and steak with a stylish dining room full of natural light, a trendy bar, and a new seasonal outdoor deck ideal for dining and gathering around outdoor fire pits, while enjoying a view of the harbor and Rotary Park.

Designed to serve as Port Washington’s premier place to gather, The Harborview now features two new meeting and event rooms and a newly renovated party room overlooking the pool – ideal for birthday parties and social gatherings. Newly added and upgraded guest amenities include a business center, complimentary and secure WIFI, fitness center, and a newly launched marketplace, offering guests convenient grab and go snacks and refreshments.

“Exceptional service remains at the forefront, going above and beyond the conventional hotel experience,” said Cathy Wilger, general manager. “We take pride in exceeding our guests’ expectations through warm hospitality, first-rate guest service, inviting accommodations and lakefront charm that can only be experienced at The Harborview.”
