With autumn just around the corner, The Ritz-Carlton, Half Moon Bay is celebrating the season with harvest-inspired packages, culinary specials and spa treatments. Leaning into its distinct location in Half Moon Bay, California – 30 minutes south of San Francisco on the coast and fondly known as the “Pumpkin Capital of the World” – the majestic cliffside resort offers locals and travelers alike endless opportunities to embrace the great gourd, as well as other elements of the coast.

Pumpkin Culinary Delights:
In honor of the region’s famed pumpkin season, The Ritz-Carlton, Half Moon Bay is highlighting special menu items throughout the month of October at its acclaimed Navio restaurant and the newly re-concepted Conservatory. At Navio, guests can savor Pumpkin Caramelle featuring sage, ricotta, and pumpkin pistou, and Roasted Pumpkin Bisque with lobster, pain d’epices, and shiso. The Conservatory is offering a guest favorite – Half Moon Bay Signature Pumpkin Soup – which can be enjoyed while taking in breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean.

In addition to seasonal dishes, beginning now through the end of October, The Conservatory is serving pumpkin-infused beverages to match. The Indian Summer Cocktail – a whimsical spin on the Mai Tai – spotlights pumpkin and autumn flavors of caramel and spice. A hint of lime perfectly rounds out this innovative libation. Appealing to beer enthusiasts, the resort will also offer pours of the best pumpkin brews, starting with Dogfish Head Punkin’ Ale. These beverages will be offered at Ocean Terrace as well – the resort’s outdoor dining space featuring cozy fire pits, unrivaled ocean views, and soothing melodies of a Sunset Bagpiper on select evenings at sundown.

Half Moon Bay Pumpkin Facial:
Offered at the award-winning Ritz-Carlton Spa, this revitalizing treatment utilizes a nourishing pumpkin enzyme masque from a 100% natural plant-based line high in beta carotene and vitamins A and C. This elevated experience nourishes the skin, leaving it smooth, plump, and hydrated. (80 minutes, $285 on weekdays; $305 on weekends from September 1 through November 30, 2018.)
