The Ritz-Carlton, Hong Kong presents Art of Italian Afternoon Tea in collaboration with Pomellato, a global luxury fine jeweler from Italy. Available from April 1 to May 31, 2021, Café 103 is bringing guests on a gastronomic journey to the home country of Pomellato by offering delightful treats brimming with Italian flair.

From its atelier in Milan, Italy, Pomellato has created masterful works of art in jewelry since 1967. The fine jewelry brand is not only renowned for its unconventionality, colorful and distinctive designs, but also for its uncompromising craftsmanship – to which The Ritz-Carlton, Hong Kong has always shared the same dedication.

To celebrate craftsmanship, the Culinary team of the hotel has prepared four savory and six sweet items paying homage to Pomellato’s Italian roots, elegantly presented on a playful tea stand embodying a swing. Menu highlights include:

Smoked Salmon “Cannoli” with Lemon Curd and Mascarpone Mousse is the reimagined savory version of the traditionally sweet pastry hailing all the way from Sicily. Keeping the same crispy and flaky texture, the buttery shell is filled with homemade smoked salmon blended with creamy mascarpone mousse and topped with dollops of citrusy lemon curd.

Olives and Rosemary Bread with Aged Capocollo and Pesto Mayonnaise is a satisfying bite of sophisticated Italian flavors you cannot miss. Featuring classic olives and rosemary-infused bread in the center, this soft baked good is wrapped with aged capocollo, which is a traditional Italian cold cut made from the meat behind the neck of pork, and garnished with a vibrant drop of pesto mayonnaise.

Raspberry Balsamic Compote Panna Cotta is a quintessential Italian dessert that would transport you to the rustic region of Piedmont. Combining a layer of perfectly chilled and silky panna cotta with a blanket of fresh raspberry compote enhanced with aromatic balsamic vinegar, this refreshing sweet delight balances out flavors in the afternoon tea.

Calamansi Cornmeal Cookie is an irresistible memory of home. Fragrant and wholesome like their counterparts in Italian homes, this chunky cookie features a golden and naturally sweet base made from cornmeal and is touched up with hints of acidity from calamansi, a hybrid citrus fruit used in homey Italian recipes.

Art of Italian Afternoon Tea in collaboration with Pomellato is priced at HK$418 for one, and HK$698 for two (except on festive dates which include April 2-5, 2021; for festive pricings, please see below). Guests who order Art of Italian Afternoon Tea for two persons will be gifted with an invitation for a unique Italian jewelry experience at Pomellato Elements Boutique, redeemable from April 1 to May 31, 2021.
