Sajeesh Pillai has been appointed as Spa Manager at The Sanchaya. In his new role, Sajeesh will join the estate’s world-class team of experts, using his multi-disciplined experience to enhance the on-property spa and wellness offerings.

Sajeesh joins The Sanchaya from Four Seasons Safari Lodge in Tanzania, where he worked for five years as Yoga Instructor and Energy Healer, and later as Spa Manager. Inspired by the energy of the Serengeti, Sajeesh developed and delivered rituals and treatments using indigenous ingredients. During his time at the property, Four Seasons Safari Lodge’s spa was awarded Tanzania’s Best Spa.

Having grown up in Kerala, yoga has always been an integral part of Sajeesh’s life, and he holds qualifications to teach various classes and techniques, including Asana, Pranayama, Mudras, and Bandhas. Holding a diploma in Ayurvedic Therapy and anatomy, Sajeesh began his career as an Ayurveda Therapist at Nagarjuna Ayurvedic Centre Kochi in Kerala, India, and is trained to perform Abhyanga massages as well as special treatments such as Pizhichil, Navrakizhi, and Shirodhara.

He has since gained international exposure in some of the world’s leading hotel spas, including Raffles Seychelles, Four Seasons Resort Maldives at Kuda Huraa, and Ananda in The Himalayas.
