The Star Event Centre goes local with tantalizing new taste for Summer

The Star Event Centre is launching an all-new world-class summer menu exclusively for events, with a strong focus on supporting Australian farmers and local producers. The new menu will showcase a selection of seasonal premium produce, locally sourced from NSW and QLD farmers.

The culinary vision, crafted by The Star Sydney’s Director of Culinary, Jason Alcock, sets a new standard for event gastronomy in Australia. Jason has designed the menu to tantalize the taste buds with an innovative pairing set to create the ultimate lasting impression on event guests for summer.

Jason says, “Australian produce is world-class. We are fortunate to be able to access the finest quality, in season ingredients to deliver a cuisine experience for our event guests, whilst supporting our local farmers. Our skilled chefs harness this produce to transform event cuisine into a complete dining experience.”

In NSW, the produce is sourced from a variety of farming areas, including Willow Tree, the Hunter region, Tinder Creek, the Northern Rivers district, as well as areas in Queensland.

The revamped menu has been designed to reflect the change in season and showcase Australia’s freshest produce at its peak time of year. Highlights include tuna tartare, free-range pork belly and Angus beef sirloin, whilst this season has yielded ripe conditions for heirloom carrots, butternut pumpkin, berries and snow peas, inspiring mouth-watering accompaniments and featuring on the summer menu. Desserts sweeten the deal; myrtle meringue and classic cheesecake mouse with summer berries threaten to persuade even the most disciplined of diners.

“The vision behind our new menus represents the Event Centre’s commitment to exceeding guest expectations and evoking authentic connections that last way beyond the final bite,” said Amanda Lovett, Assistant Director of Sales.

As an extra bonus for Summer, The Star Sydney has created an “All-In” event package devised with busy Event Managers in mind, to maximise value in a simple, all-inclusive deal.
