The Longest Tomato Lunch returns to the Royal Botanic Garden Sydney’s award-winning Tomato Festival in 2018. The popular tomato-inspired lunch will take place in the Garden on Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 February.

Tickets are now available for the food festival’s much anticipated three-course tomato inspired feast for 250 guests. The fabulous 70-metre table will be laid under a shady marquee on the foreshore lawns with phenomenal views of Sydney Harbour and the Opera House.

Guests will enjoy a long Italian lunch designed by the 2 Michelin Star and multi- award-winning chef, Luca Ciano. The menu includes share plates and individual items, replicating a traditional Italian family feast.

The lunch is held on the Flower Bed Lawn, adjacent to the Tomato Festival Village, from 12.30 pm to 2.30 pm for $67 plus booking fee.

A wide selection of drinks is also available including Tyrrell’s Hunter Valley chardonnay, sparkling or shiraz.

“The Longest Tomato Lunch is the highlight of the award-winning Tomato Festival Sydney and has been a sell- out event for the past two years.” said Kim Ellis, Executive Director of Botanic Gardens & Centennial Parklands.

“Guests can relax, sit back and enjoy a long lunch with great company and live music while looking out over the Garden and the spectacular views of the Harbour. We hope that visitors can take the time to enjoy the whole day in the Garden before or after the lunch too.”

Bring the whole family for an inspiring harbourside food festival with something for everyone. Tickets are on sale now until Thursday 15 February 2019, unless sold out beforehand.

Other highlights of this year’s Festival include some new features as well as Festival favourites:

• Village market dedicated to local producers and artisans

• Free gardening talks and cooking demonstrations

• Relish pop-up café & bar

• Free Garden tours

• Children’s activities including Pizza Plants Adventure

• Harris Farm Markets Tomato Mandala
