The Transformational Travel Council (TTC) is hosting its annual Gathering, “Journey to Tomorrow”, February 9 to 12 at the Mountain Spring Lodge in Leavenworth, WA.  A committed group of 50 TTC Allies, Ambassadors, Mentors, Advisors, and newly appointed Board of Directors will be joining the 4-day event. The TTC Gathering is an annual forum to exchange, educate, and celebrate a collective of ‘transformers’ who believe in the power and healing force of travel.

This annual forum is meant to unite and strengthen the power of the fast-growing transformational travel movement, exchange relevant business knowledge and skills, understand the impact of our collective members, and inspire growth and change within the organization and travel industry.

TTC Allies from around the world are attending this important event to connect with a community of like-minded, professionals sharing the same goal and desire; using travel as a tool to make this world a better place. And create purposeful travel experiences that encourage deeper personal connections with self, local communities, and the environment.

The Gathering is one of the platforms to assist Ally members integrating the TTC philosophy and guiding principles into their tourism business, and develop product and experience offerings at a deeper and more meaningful level.

The participating TTC Allies are very accomplished industry professionals that will lead business seminars, wellness workshops, collaborative sessions, and keynote talks on various topics related to transformational travel. TTC Advisor and renowned author, Joseph Pine will lead a talk on the Transformational Economy. Another keynote, Michael Graziano, a TED Talk speaker will share his views on passport and how it can influence how we see the world.

Jorge Perez, the owner of Terra del Volcān, a receptive tour operator based in Ecuador, is one of the international guests attending the Gathering, and one the first travel operators to join the TTC. “I believe in the TTC’s mission. Tourism has done a lot of damage and it’s time to turn that negative into a positive and create a demand for more meaningful travel experiences. It’s time to encourage travellers to reflect, pause and take time to connect and protect Pachamama and give back to communities, and locals they meet along the way”, said Perez.

Two days prior to the Gathering, the TTC’s Board of Director and Advisors will convene to refine the organization’s strategic direction and plan.

We’ve been working around the clock to prepare this Gathering, says TTC’s Co-Founder, Jack Haupert from his Seattle office. “Seeing the TTC’s vision unfolding and the number of TTC Allies from around the world traveling all the way to Leavenworth, WA to attend our event is incredibly rewarding, and exciting! We wouldn’t be where we are without the support of industry friends, destination partners, local suppliers and TTC Ally members assisting with logistics, and hosting meals and activities during the event. My business partner, Michael Bennett and I are humbled and grateful for their help and commitment to the TTC”, added Haupert.
