Time to tango: The Great Chimu Sale has arrived and it is bigger than ever!

January 18, 2018 Travel Deals No Comments Email Email

Latin America and Polar experts Chimu Adventures have launched their biggest sale of the year, The Great Chimu Sale 2018. Offering up to 35% off voyages to Antarctica, 20% off South America itineraries and – making special appearances in the Great Chimu Sale – 20% off Cuba and the Arctic, this is their most extensive sale to date. The promotion will end on 28 February.

From trekking Patagonia’s most renowned national park, Torres del Paine, to sampling ceviche and Pisco sours in South America’s culinary capital Lima, exploring Havana’s backstreets, walking with penguins in Antarctica or sailing to the opposite end of the Earth to catch a glimpse of a polar bear, the Great Chimu Sale includes a huge range of experiences for agents to recommend to their client’s.

Chimu Adventures are Australia’s largest Latin America and Polar specialists; largest due to the vast number of excursions and vessels they operate (including exclusive charter voyages to both Antarctica and the Arctic) and truly specialist because almost every Chimu team member has been to at least one of the polar regions and has travelled widely in Latin America. When you book with Chimu, their expert workforce along with a wealth of promotional and marketing material will do the hard work for you while you enjoy the highly lucrative commissions that these bookings bring; from Chimu’s experience, clients rarely travel to Antarctica without adding between one and three weeks in South America.

Greg Carter, co-founder of Chimu Adventures, said: “We are so excited about the opportunity of giving our agent partners access to what is our best bucket list sale to date. Latin America and the Polar regions are some of the world’s most rewarding and sought after destinations to travel to and this sale makes them more accessible.”

The phrase ‘bucket list’ may conjure visions of backpackers casting themselves out of and off high things but Chimu believes that experiential travel comes in many different forms with ‘adventure’ being a subjective entity; the adventure is designed by the person undertaking it. Chimu have an average client age of 57 so don’t make the mistake of thinking that these trip styles don’t suit your market – they do. With Chimu’s average gross booking value exceeding the AU$20k mark, there is also great earning potential from Latin America and Polar bookings.

Perhaps the most exciting itineraries in The Great Chimu Sale are two exclusive Chimu charter voyages aboard brand new vessel the M/V Hondius. This will be the toughest ice-strengthened vessel in the Polar regions and will be equipped with stabilisers; an excellent choice for those concerned about sea sickness. Mechanics aside, the Hondius is a deluxe ship with cosy lodgings, delicious cuisine and well-designed communal areas like the observation area and bar. Your clients can travel aboard the Hondius for just over AU$7000 per person for 11 days on Chimu’s exclusive 2019 departure Pristine Antarctica. These charters aboard the Hondius are not being sold anywhere else in Australia at present.

Other highlights of The Great Chimu Sale 2018 include:

South America Circle 21 days WAS AU$7290 NOW from AU$6561

Antarctica Classic 11 days WAS AU$7299 NOW from AU$6570

Arctic Unveiled 8 days WAS AU$6595 NOW from AU$5539

Chimu also want to make the booking process as easy as possible for agents. A complete Marketing Pack including posters, promotional flyers, social media tiles and a promo video, is available or on their agent portal I.N.C.A (registration required). What’s more, Chimu are running an incentive for agent’s to win a cruise to Antarctica every time they book a passenger on any small ship cruise. Look out for The Great Chimu Sale TV commercial which will be doing the rounds on east coast television.
