The cream of the world’s serviced apartment industry gathers in London to discuss the sector’s medium to long term future at the TAS Alliance summit 19th February.

The summit takes place against a background of business travel turning to hotel alternatives and an increasingly mobile global workforce driving assignment working and relocations.  Between them, The Alliance members have over 10% share of entire global supply and will discuss topics including: –

·        How technology is driving serviced apartments adoption in corporate travel

·        The changing face of the guest experience

·        Mega-trends in the global relocation market.

“The extended stay market is growing in every region of the world” says TAS Alliance director Kevin King. “The next five years is crucially important for our members, so we will be arming them with the very latest market information and analysis.”

International brands represented at the Summit include The Ascott Limited,which hasover 640 properties in 30 countries; Quest Apartment Hotels, Australasia’s largest operator with over 170 properties;Roomspace, with 27 locations in the UK, Spain and Portugal, and Blueground, whichoperates in nine cities across the US, Greece and Turkey.

Country-specific providers include AKA, nominated bythe BBC as the leading international luxury long stay brand with properties in New York City, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, Washington DC, and London; BBF, whose portfolioconsists of more than 1600 serviced and residential apartments in Antwerp, Brussels and Budapest;Space Design from Tokyo and P&O Apartments Group from Warsaw.

Regional operators from across the UK are also attending. These include Wales’ largest serviced apartment company A Space in the City; the North East’s leading provider Week2Week; Portfolio Serviced Apartments fromHertfordshire; ESA which covers south west England; Staying Cool from Birmingham; Leicester-based Quora, Manchester’s CitySuites and Abodebed from Hemel Hempstead.

The meeting marks the fifth birthday of the TAS Alliance. Launched in 2014, the Alliance provides serviced apartment operators with access to a single representation, distribution, sales and marketing strategy, powered by a common technology platform.

The TAS Alliance now represents over 100,000 serviced apartment units from the US to the UAE, in Europe and Australasia. The network provides coverage across key markets in EMEA, the Americas and Asia-Pac, and these markets will all be represented at the 2019 Alliance meeting.
