Qantas Frequent Flyer members can now earn Qantas points while they sleep using the Qantas Wellbeing app.http://www.stevecafeandcuisine.com/

Designed to encourage healthy sleep habits, the app, developed by Qantas Health Insurance, incentivises Frequent Flyers by offering Qantas Points to limit screen time before bed, develop regular sleep patterns and better understand healthy sleep practices.

The ‘Sleep Health Challenge’ is the latest feature in the Qantas Wellbeing app that rewards Australians with Qantas Points for developing healthy lifestyle habits. Members can already earn points for keeping active by walking, cycling or swimming and understanding more about their BMI and blood pressure.

How it works:

  • Download the free Qantas Wellbeing app
  • Set your bedtime routine
  • Place your phone down at least 30 minutes before bedtime
  • Don’t move your phone until you wake up the next morning
  • Wake up with more Qantas Points

The app also prompts Frequent Flyers to track how they feel upon waking. By reviewing their Sleep Health Challenge history, users can see how better sleep practices affect their mood.

Users can also earn an additional 20 Qantas Points for taking part in the Qantas Sleep Quiz – a ten question guide to learning more about maximising your sleep drive, how diet and exercise affects sleep and understanding your body clock.

According to the Sleep Health Foundation, four out of 10 Australian adults experience some form of inadequate sleep[i]. Not getting enough sleep can affect learning and decision making as well as increasing the risk of mental and physical illness.

Olivia Wirth Qantas Loyalty CEO said Qantas Frequent Flyer is the first airline loyalty program to offer points for something as simple as sleep.
