In celebration of the upcoming release of their Europe 2020 trips, youth travel experts, Topdeck, have partnered with MTV Travel to send six lucky travellers on an Adriatic sailing adventure in Croatia.
With the two-week competition asking entrants to submit a video of 30 seconds or less stating what European destination was on their bucket list and why, the calibre of entries was exceptional.
After sifting through 95 high quality entries from people across the globe, Australia’s Chelsea Heath was chosen to join travellers from Canada and the UK to set sail with Topdeck and MTV Travel.
Once a quiet, untapped marketplace east of Italy, Croatia made its debut as one of Europe’s top escape destinations following the filming of Game of Thrones along the country’s picturesque coastline. As such, it’s no surprise that most grand prize winners listed Croatia or Dubrovnik as their number one European bucket list destination.
Setting sail on 24 August 2019 from the ancient city walls of Dubrovnik’s Old Town, the winners will spend seven days soaking up rays on board a traditional sailing boat, embracing the natural beauty and serenity of Mljet National Park and marvelling at the crystal blue waters of the Adriatic. Travellers will also top up their knowledge of the past as they wander through historic coastal towns and let their hair down during their final night in UNESCO World Heritage-listed Split.
With a private DJ, gift bags and drink tokens all included, this Adriatic sailing trip is set to be the adventure of a lifetime.
