Tosca Entices Saturday Afternoons with Its Newly Launched La Dolce Vita Wine Lunch

“La Dolce Vita” literally means “The Sweet Life,” a phrase popularized by the iconic 1960 Federico Fellini film of the same name that denotes a free and easy lifestyle of luxury and pleasure. Every Saturday afternoon from February 24, 2018 onwards, Tosca sets the scene for this much-desired enjoyment with authentic Italian gastronomies, handpicked fine wines, interactive cooking shows and inspiring wine tasting sessions with industry insiders.

When it comes to luxury lifestyle, Milanese, reputed as the best-off population in Italy, know it at the very core. Hence, from now until May, La Dolce Vita wine lunch at Tosca will be themed around Lombardy, the region Milan calls home. Diners will be first received at Almas Caviar Bar with an appetizing amuse-bouche where the hotel sommelier and wine insiders will share inspiring insights over sips of Lombardian wines. The journey continues in the main dining area as Michelin-starred chef, Pino Lavarra, and his talented team will personally present a scrumptious five-course menu. Epicures can expect a feast for the palates as well as the eyes as live stations will be staged right in front of them – polenta served freshly out of the “paiolo” Italian heating pot, risotto being tossed in a giant Parmesan wheel and a dessert corner with cooking demonstrations hosted by pastry chef Rafael Charquero.

Menu highlights include Polenta and Pork Sausage Ragout, Saffron Risotto and Gremolada and Veal Milanese and Fries. Accompanying the gourmet dishes are sommelier’s choices of digestives and wines from Lombardy, spotlighting the famed Franciacorta from the Province of Brescia.
