Trafalgar’s 17 trips through Australia and New Zealand for 2021 are a fresh discovery of phenomenal people, places and stories that unearth the very best homegrown experiences and support the locals behind them in the slice of paradise that guests call their own backyard.

“It’s never been more important to open clients’ eyes to the incredible beauty that is situated right here on our doorstep and introduce them to and sustain the wonderful locals that bring these amazing places to life with their rich stories.” continues Wolff.

Clients will connect with and support locals such as fifth-generation Tasmanian farmer, Guy Robertson, as he takes them into his free-range farm, cider orchard and gardens at Mount Gnomon Farm. Hidden high in the hills overlooking the picturesque seaside village of Penguin, here they’ll enjoy an exhilarating farm to fork Be My Guest lunch with Guy in his barn. Guests will also be whisked away to a pseudo-Provence at Bridestowe Lavender Fields for a taste of Lavender ice cream at this spectacular agritourism farm on Perfect Tasmania.

Adventure aficionados will be completely enamoured as they gaze across the sunrise that overlooks the deep chasm at the edge of Kings Canyon, embarking on one of the most spellbinding walks in the country. As they take in the domed ‘Lost City’ and luscious ‘Garden of Eden,’ their local guide will enthrall them with Creation Stories. A truly special meal awaits guests that evening as they connect with locals at an open-air Be My Guest experience, enjoying dinner with their hosts around a campfire under the Southern Hemisphere’s Milky Way on The Colour Of Red.

Guests will stay somewhere that’s more than just a bed for the night at El Questro Wilderness Park. This safari-style tent accommodation is a true stay with stories, that will unveil the fascinating history of this vast and stunning terrain in the heart of the Kimberley. They’ll enjoy a privately hosted Be My Guest dinner at the world’s largest distiller of sandalwood oil and learn how they support local and global communities through their commitment to quality, sustainability and ethical business. Guests will also make a difference on their visit to the Yarliyil Art Centre, supporting local indigenous artists and allowing them to showcase their culture on Untamed Kimberley.

In New Zealand’s breathtaking South, clients will join Tim and Isabelle Weston for a truly different Be My Guest morning tea and hear about the world-record-setting motorcycle that was designed and built in their garage in Christchurch. They’ll also venture to the magnificent North to immerse themselves in Māori culture and enjoy a traditional Māori feast at the Tamaki Māori Village on Contrasts of New Zealand. An exploration of the unparalleled sights of the South awaits guests, including the vivid blue waters of Lake Wanaka, followed by the extraordinary rivers of ice that make up Franz Josef Glacier. They’ll have the opportunity stay at the eco-friendly Punakaiki Resort, offering a unique insight into local ecology and nature. This trip will see guests proudly making a difference when they Join Trafalgar in the quest for Sustainable Tourism, as they plant trees in the hills near Christchurch, an area ravaged by wildfires on Southern Spectacular.

Trafalgar’s rigorous COVID-19 related protocols include smaller group sizes, social distancing measures and additional stringent sanitisation procedures, so clients can travel with complete confidence.
