Tramada Systems has introduced an enhancement to its Payment Gateway module with Mint Payments that dramatically increases customer service and security of payment transactions.Agencies using the tramada® Mint payment gateway can now add the new Tramada Pay Now hyperlink to documentation generated by the tramada travel data management platform, such as invoices and itineraries, that are sent to their customers.

By simply clicking on the Pay Now button, customers can pay either partially or in full against an invoice  removing the need to disclose their credit card details to the agency by telephone or email.

Adam Jones, CEO of Mint Payments Australia, is thrilled by the new functionality saying, “In addition to being able to earn Velocity points as Mint merchants, Mint-Tramada agents can now improve the customer experience by issuing a booking-specific online payment portal.

“This keeps the credit card details in the hands of the traveller, while providing speedy payment to the agent,” Jones said.

The new feature saves agency time by eliminating the need for consultants to chase payments, and when payment is received, the receipt is issued automatically and the financial status of the booking automatically updated in the tramada system, ready for allocation.

Reminder functionality improves customer service

A further level of customer service is added when used in conjunction with tramada’s diary reminder facility or an external task/calendar system such as Microsoft Outlook. This enables travel consultants to set up reminders, for example, to send a document (invoice/itinerary) to travellers when payment is due.

Credit card security is also increased because there is no longer a need for consultants to obtain credit card details from customers. Additionally, like all client details, the credit card information is protected in tramada’s PCI DSS-compliant environment.

“This e-commerce functionality is mobile-friendly and of particular value for leisure or group travel with security-conscious clients,” said Susan Enners, Country Manager Australia and New Zealand at Tramada Systems.

“It provides our clients with a new level of service that they can offer their customers, while
also benefiting from Tramada’s ongoing commitment to innovative, time-saving, and secure
travel management solutions.”
