Traveller Choice ‘Frontliner’ events are always animated affairs but this year’s gatherings were bigger and better than ever before with almost 200 agents enjoying face-to-face meetings with key trade partners in Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney.

General Manager Sales Nicola Strudwick says the annual events provide an invaluable opportunity for agents – many of whom travel from regional centres – to enhance their product knowledge by engaging with preferred partners.

“This year we optimised engagement by adopting a variety of event formats, including product booths, speed chats, presentations and Q&A forums,” says Strudwick. “In addition, we expanded the content to include information on market trends, best business practices and relevant training and accreditation opportunities.”

With that in mind, Travellers Choice invited key travel industry organisations to take part, including Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) Australasia and the Australian Federation of Travel Agents (AFTA), which briefed members on its new Insolvency Chargeback Scheme (ACS).

“The response from agents was exceptionally positive and on behalf of all members I’d like to thank our preferred suppliers for their commitment and generosity,” says Strudwick.
