Wanted to let you know that as a follow up to launching our Travel Safe tool, which showcases safety measures hotels and restaurants are taking, today, Tripadvisor launched a new solution giving diners more confidence to safely visit restaurants: Contactless Menus.

We know cleanliness and safety are top priorities for diners thinking about visiting restaurants again. In fact, more than a third of consumers (35%) say they will put an emphasis on dining at restaurants that keep customers safe.

Menus are one of the most handled items in a restaurant. To help minimize this contact, Tripadvisor developed a new way for restauranteurs to create Contactless Menus directly from their Management Center on Tripadvisor. This feature is free to any restaurant that has added a menu link to its Tripadvisor listing, automatically generating a QR code that restauranteurs can download and post throughout their business. Diners can then scan the code directly to their phone to access the menu, keeping both staff and customers safe.

The code is specific to each business and won’t change — even if they update their menu. With all the challenges restaurants are facing, this is just one way Tripadvisor can make their lives easier.
