TripAdvisor®, the world’s largest provider of bookable tours and activities, today announced the results of its Seasonal Experiences Trend Index revealing the most popular attractions, based on year-over-year booking activity on the site.

The seasonal index reveals the top 10 tours and activities in Australia with the greatest increase in traveller bookings over last year.

“From exploring UNESCO World Heritage Sites, traversing the Great Ocean Road to watching the sun rise over Uluru on camelback , these top 10 activities highlight the trend towards outdoor activities, with day trips seeing the most growth,” said Janice Lee Fang, Director of Communications, Asia Pacific, TripAdvisor. “TripAdvisor offers more than 100,000 bookable tours, activities and experiences to help travellers discover more of the Lucky Country than they would on their own.”

Methodology

The Experiences Trend Index rankings were determined based on the percent increase in bookings on TripAdvisor between 2017 and 2018 for experiences from May 1 – August 31. Experiences were required to have at least four out of five bubbles on TripAdvisor Experiences to qualify.
